If you are passionate about Yoga we pride ourselves on offering a Yoga Teacher Training programme that inspires and nurtures you as you deepen your personal and professional understanding of Yoga. It is a course of exceptional quality and value that is recognised internationally as well as fully recognised by The Independent Yoga Network which holds the highest standards for Yoga Teacher Training in Britain.

Our course has a strong focus on Yoga as a therapy so that the Yoga teacher knows how to use the tools of Yoga to provide a therapeutic experience that eases discomforts and corrects imbalances. At the end of the session all feel intact, complete and empowered. Happiness breeds good health and we believe that a good Yoga Teacher should be able to create these feelings within the Yoga Session.

Not everyone is drawn towards being a Yoga Teacher but for those that are, it is a beautiful vocation whether pursued part-time or full time. Discovering your 'inner light' is a magical and transformational journey.

Our course fully prepares you for professional practice. You will develop skills to become a contemporary health professional able to teach Yoga across a wide variety of settings. eg top sports people.... in hospitals.... with disabled....... in industry.....your own Yoga studio.

Our 18 month diploma is held on one Saturday of each month (9.00am-4.00pm) with a built in residential weekend.

Each student is given an outline of the units of the syllabus to monitor their own progress. In addition to regular attendance, home study, regular attendance at yoga sessions and yoga workshops and meditations are expected.
Students are expected to devote a minimum of 450 hours to successfully complete the course.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS – Several years (minimum 2) of sound, regular yoga practice with a reputable Yoga Teacher or completion of the Yoga Foundation Course.

Areas of Study include:-

 Teaching Yoga Postures safely with interesting warm-ups and counterposes.
 Creating vinyasas with focus on moving into stillness

 Good postural alignment, use of breath, mental focus, stillness.

 Yoga anatomy.

 Physical, mental and spiritual benefits of postures.

 The use of the voice and of positive, inspirational language.
 Giving precise, clear instructions to empower students.
 Demonstrating oneself or guiding another into a posture as a teaching aid to others.

 The subtle body: koshas, chakras, nadis.

 The role of the breath.
 Relaxation
 Pranayama and Prana
 Kriyas to cleanse and purify – bandhas to strengthen.
 Yoga Philosophy – Classical and modern spiritual texts.
 Nutrition as an aid to good health.

 Why Yoga is recognised as a leading therapy.

 Meditation and the magic of Mantra.
 How to set up as a Yoga Teacher.
